Q: I want my music to be on Sarathan Records, what do I do?
A: Our current demo submission policy: We're pleased that you have familiarized yourself with the artists on Sarathan Records and their music and feel that your music could have a home here. Sarathan Records happily accepts and reviews unsolicited demos from unsigned artists whose music demonstrates their ability to achieve a clear and unique artistic vision. Preferred consideration is given to artists that have already recorded a high-quality full-length album.
Some things to think about:
Is your music well-written and original?
Are you willing to work long, hard, and smart to make your music successful?
If you decide to send us your music, please mail a CD or CD-R and any press-related materials about your project to us. Please include a brief overview of the project, choice reviews, and most importantly, your email address and website/MySpace URL. If there is interest, someone from the label will be in contact with you. While we do listen to all of the material we receive, we cannot guarantee you will receive a personal response from us.
We look forward to hearing your music, but please refrain from emailing it to us. Sarathan is unable to accept any submissions via email, especially ones which include attached or embedded files, audio of any type or pictures. We prefer that you send us your press kit in the mail.
